Jesse, 25, recently took the 35mm plunge, and by plunge I mean freefall into oblivion.

I have two film cameras, both Nikons

Nikon FG 35mm - Nikkor Series E 50mm f1.8, Rokinon 80-200mm f4.5, Rokinon 28mm f2.8

Nikkormat FT 35mm - Nikkor-H 28mm f3.5, Vivitar 55mm-135mm f3.5, Nikkor 35mm f2.8

Canon Digital Rebel XTi and friends

Going out tonight to sharpen my night photography skills in the downtown area, loaded with FujiFilm Acros and Superia Reala, both 100 speed.

Yeah that Nikkormat needs the rail to support it or else it just sinks in the ground and falls through stuff lol. Damn thing is a brick.

Didn't shoot much tonight, left late and there were too many people.....but I popped a few off with my digi so I might post those. Kinda got my drank on, apparently I take great pictures when I've had about 3 drinks. Should have just about spent my FG killed off the BW400CN roll in it.

Welcome to the site, looks like you are suffering from acute PGLS (photographer's gear-lacking syndrome). Head to eBay and give some cameras and lenses a new home.

Watch out for trains, they can be problematic while shooting on railroad tracks

An autofocus Nikon (if you choose the right one, and it can be super cheap) will take those manual Nikon lenses of yours. You might prefer to have an all-Nikon system.

The shot with the two people walking down the tracks came out 100 times worse on my Rebel.

I've thought about trading it for a Nikon setup so I can use those awesome lenses in manual mode. It takes good pictures but I don't have much in the way of good lenses for it and they are uber expensive.

Forgot to mention I also have an old school Kodak Signet 35 rangefinder camera but I think the shutter is busticated.

I've thought about getting a Minolta, one of the newer ones with autofocus because the lenses for them and accessories for them are EVERYWHERE here in pawnshops, I could have a REALLY nice Minolta setup for <$300. It is so tempting in the end I will probably take the plunge anyway.

Welcome from Arizona. I only(well practically) use a digi to take shots of my film cameras...ha ha. so just hide it in a bag.
Someone once said, " Digital is clean and film is dirty. You can call me a dirty boy." That's the motto son, learn it, live it and love it!

I use my Rebel about as much as my film cameras, sometimes if I'm not sure of what to set my lenses on my Nikons to, I'll put the Canon in Full Auto and see what it wants to do. Sometimes I use it just to see the effect that certain filters have on an image before I put it on film. The digital cameras in my camera system have their place, ease of use, portability, not to mention I can put 1000 images on a memory card, but when it comes to clarity and detail, my Nikon 35mm's all day. I'll probably add a couple more 35mm SLR's to my stable before I pull the trigger on another digi.

I'm a Minolta Man, myself. But stay focused, stick to Nikon.
Although I did pick up a Canon Ftbn, because someone gave
me a Vivitar Series 1 70-210 with a Canon mount.
A lens that I spent waaaay too many nights dreaming about in 1979.
If you really need some more equipment,
there is some great 4X5 gear out there looking for a new home.

Our pawn shops here are absolutely littered with Minolta stuff, all the photographers keep the Nikon and Canon stuff to use on the DSLR's.

I've thought about snatching up a Maxxum 3xxi? up the street, 150 for body and lens.

God this is going to get expensive quickly
