It was a comedy show back in the early 80's. Some comedic greats got their start on the show such as John Candy, Rick Moranis, Martin Short, Katherine O'Hara, Eugene Levy, to name a few.

Anything to do with Rush, I remember. I believe Take Off went to number one. It's probably still there.
"Yakkity Sax", wasn't it? If you saw the original Ghostbusters you probably remember Rick Moranis as the accountant who turns into a demon dog. He shows up in Ghostbusters: Afterlife too, but just a cameo. Also went into the studio with Geddy Lee to record the hit song "Take Off!" -- remember that, hoser?
