Here's an early film-based camera phone. Courtesy Flight of the Conchords.

That's great
I'd love to see the ads for this one... "Are you tired of your bulky full plate phone? Get the new telegraphic voice transmitter with built-in half plate camera! It's the future technology for the 20th century!"

Well I'd love to enjoy the satiric humour, but it seems the Onion is now a subscriber based site -- I can't look at that page without being re-directed by a paywall.

Way to go, another good site ruined by the suits.

I had no difficulty. I'm using Opera as my web browser.

Strange... Using Opera, both directly from germany and through a TOR-proxy in the UK I can access it. Should "America's Finest News Source" finally be disabled for americans?

On a related note, an app I would like to see is one that uses the phone's camera to display the input upside down and backwards, as a way to practice view-camera visualization/composition. Dark cloth optional

LOL...at least you didn't call me a Yank, Matt!

I think it's based on number of page views...thanks for posting this regardless!

The Onion is worth the price. After all... it's America's Finest News Source!!!
And as they'll tell you, long overdue for a Pulitzer Prize.
