Sorry, too morbid for me.

I still have hopes that someone can rip Kodak's film business away from Kodak upper management in time so that it can begin to benefit from the uptick in the analog market. And that the manufacturing part of it is included, so any potential new owners are not forced to suffer the uncertainty of having Perez continue to control the production of the product they are trying to sell.

(Well, one can hope, can't he?)

If those in charge of Kodak looked a little bit outside of their box they would see that there is a resurgence (small at present) of traditional film they may well be advised put things on hold.

Personally I like CN400 the one most condemned here. I can get superb B&W prints from it using my normal RA4 developer so would be sorry to see it go. Ilford XP2 has a different and a much more difficult base colour to deal with to get the filtration right.

Might BW400CN just be the last Kodak B&W film left, if they really did abandon traditional B&W and make only the basic minimum of C41products.
Thank God for Ilford and the little players.

As the owner of a pro lab who watch each film type that runs though my processors I'de guess Tri-x 320. its the least common film for me to process on that list. I was surprised about Portra 800 as i happen to process quite a lot of it.

Why does everyone hate bw400cn?
Guess i need to buy more of it. Its strange when Ive been buying rolls I always find one opened in the shop (boots). Is it because people dont understand what it is and feel the need to open it?

It's a royal PITA to print in the darkroom because of its orange mask causing massive issues with contrast filtration.

i have shot thousands of sheets and rolls of film in the past few years.
and promote it pretty much every day. shooting film is what i do for a living ...
im not obsessing over anything, i think this thread is kind of funny.
