I shoot Xray film with no filter. You just need to develop it right and you got decent results.
How do you deal with halation? Or is it not that intrinsic? Or is it just part of the idiom? I wonder what the effect would be on such a small medium...

Fabulous aesthetic on the camera!

There is no more sensitivity to UV with any X-ray fillm than with any classic B&W film.
You're absolutely right. My mistake. I never had much occasion to look at the UV part of the spectrum of say Delta 400 or Tri-X

It is not even all that sensitive to X-rays.

Thanks JB!
I love everyone's ideas about refilling the Discs with new film... But how about tweaking the camera to be able to pull existing, expired film with longer exposures? Cause there's like... a ton of the stuff rotting out there.
Or making a Disc camera with manual settings... now that could be fun!

I use single sided mammography film. The halation has not been an issue so far. Then again it's 2x3 and 4x5. It is super fine grain though.

Wow, that makes loading Minox cartridges seem so easy! You get 36 exposures too!

Best of luck with this project. I am watching from the sidelines.

(On a personal note, I hated Disc film with a vengeance but we won't go into that.)

Makes me wonder if Fuji would make a camera with a modern chip for exposure. All the teenagers could have a view master, they could click through Fujichrome images. No, it's a dumb idea, but it would be cool
