IKEA is an interesting place for men. They have the psychology of shopping exactly right. Just when you think you will die of boredom if you have to look at one more Bokhyllan Billy there comes the cafeteria/restaurant. So you sit down for some meatballs and a glass of wine. Now you know that you are halfway through the ordeal. You put on a stiff upper lip and hope to manage the other half also.

Did find some useful beakers and sundry plastic containers so not a total loss. And wife was happy. That means a lot.

Yes, the psycology of shopping, no matter how much you try to stay out of them, they always seem to have something you want.

I refuse to go to Ikea unless I'm promised a huge plate of meatballs. It's always a cause for great regret that UK Ikea doesn't have beer on self-service tap like in Sweden. I used to enjoy Swedish Ikea sessions more than ones here.
