The Jobo 202 Reel is Really Large

Just received a pair of the 2502 reels, in a 2509 reel box. The 2502 is really large. I think this may be the only reel (135 and 120 films) this large. All the other ones (Paterson, Nikkor, etc) are like the 1501 reel.

Since the 1501 reel works just fine with me, I do not know when I'll try the large 2502 reel. I probably won't be able to tell the difference....

The 2502 holds a 220 roll, or 2 rolls of 120 separated by the little red tab. Yes it's kind of large, but the chemistry usage in the proper drum is quite small because you only need to submerge the edge where the film is.

The quality of processing will be no different with 15xx or 25xx reels/drums as long as you have the right reels in the right drums.

For 120 and 220 film, Jobo recommends the 2501/2502 reels over the 15xx reels because the edges of the film come in contact with more chemicals. I've also read in some Jobo literature that B&W processing is better in the 25xx reels and tanks as well. YMMV.
