How expensive will shipping the Clack be? They are fairly big.

It's a rather light camera and not bigger than the Nikon FM10. And I can send a parcel up to 2 kg for the same price.

Here, the cost of mailing also varies with the size.

If there is room I'd be into joining. If not then I'll have to wait for a next round.

I would love to participate if possible!! This seems like a ton of fun.

Updated list:
1 locutus
2 NedL
3 mooseontheloose
4 toro_mike
5 MattKing
6 macfred
7 antmar
8 Síle
9 Dali
10 Raphael
11 OptiKen
12 keenmaster486
13 MrBrowning
14 TheToadMen

Two rolls of film will be good for 14 people (with one image to spare on each roll). So new participants will go on the waiting list for now.

Could all listed members please confirm by PM that they still want to participate? And please include in the PM:

1) your full name
2) full address (to receive the camera)
3) your phone number (will not be shared, only for me to contact you)
4) your email address

After I received all the PM's I'll make a shipping order and we can start!

And remember: by participating you commit to send the camera within 4 weeks to the next participant, wether you made a shot or not!!
I don't want to sound harsh, but we don't want to loose the camera and the film (like happened in the previous round). If down the line life intervenes please with your commitment, then please let me now (by PM) and we'll figure something out. But please communicate with me.

Thanks,
Bert from Holland

Who are you missing? People might not realise they haven't sent the pm yet...

Four weeks is rather generous, I would recommend two. That way you have a fighting chance to complete the round in under a year.

Count me in please.
I will now shoot off the details required. Thanks. If a camera is needing batteries it can be sent without and each participant can put batteries in on recieving the camera.
I guess it is obvious to try and keep the camera travelling the shortest distance each time, except when continent hopping

Now that Camera 10 seems to be coming home, shall we pickup sorting out round 11 again?

Hello All: I sincerely hope that Bert (TheToadMen) is okay. If there is any update on him, please share when you can.

I don't mean at all to crash this party, but as I've shepherded a couple of rounds of this project relatively successfully, may I suggest that we move on? I I don't believe enthusiasm has waned completely for this project - we are all busy with our lives, and the long periods between posts lead to sleepiness and apathy.

So in an effort to keep it going, I am willing to donate a new camera: a NEW OUT OF THE BOX Olympus Stylus Epic Zoom, loaded with a new battery. I am decluttering and my wife would love to see one of my 19 cameras fly the coop. I will also supply the film. I suggest Tri-X, to avoid color shifts in case it takes a couple of years. But let's have a discussion about it. If you will all allow me to proceed, we just need consensus from the list of bandits & thieves already signed up, and choose the film.

Here is the latest list from Bert's May 10, 2017 post:

1 locutus
2 NedL
3 mooseontheloose
4 toro_mike
5 MattKing
6 macfred
7 antmar
8 Síle
9 Dali
10 Raphael
11 OptiKen
12 keenmaster486
13 MrBrowning
14 TheToadMen

Can everyone please reaffirm your participation? I suggest we leave Bert (#14) on the list in case he resurfaces, and I am pleased to hand it off to another DungeonMaster once we get the round started. We can also probably add a participant or two, even if everyone is still in.

Hope you are well. Long live film - let's keep this going.

Regards,

Shawn

I'm still in, Tri-X works for me! As mentioned earlier in the other thread, I've tried contacting Bert several times, both through personal email and pms, but I got no reply. He hasn't been active here or on any of his other photo sites/blogs since last year (at least, not since the last time I looked). I hope he comes back, but I think we just have to move on with the exchange without him (for now).

If this is revived, then yes i'm definitely still in

Since you are the first on the list, it is definitely revived !!

Can you do me a favor and PM me your full name, address, and email address? I will send you the camera by next week. As to the other participants, we'll make it up as we go along when we have to.

Regards,

Shawn

I'm in for sure - what else than TriX ?
Forgot to say, I'm on vacation for the next 3-4 weeks (shouldn't be a problem - I'm no.6 on our list).
Still waiting for Bert - sent him several mails and PMs - no reply so far ...
