Amateur Photographer magazine here in the UK, is reporting that Kodak has put up its film and paper manufacturing business up for sale. This is depressing news for thse of us brought up on Tri-X, one hopes this is not the beginning of the end for all us film enthusiasts. It seems that for the immediate future at least, we shall all be prisoners of Fuji.
 
Late freight. Check out the numerous, previous, vigorous discussions on this topic! The consensus seems ot be that nobody really knows the future yet.
 
p.s. according to Kodak PR person on this and other forums, Kodak still manufacturing so in the immediate future all options are available.
 
Sometimes it's hard to search old posts-they're not under the headings you'd expect 'em to be under.
 
A search for "Kodak" will bring up all those threads.
