They're rare and unusual, but is that enough? We put a Canon 50mm f/0.95 bokeh monster through its paces.

Is this a TV lens?
If so, do they need a converter to attach to a Canon FD camera?

Grateful for your answers...

It is a lens for the Canon 7 rangefinder. It is not possible to convert it for Canon FD.

It would, however, fit a screw mount Leica, Fed, etc. (though it might not focus accurately without modifying either the camera mount or the lens).

The Canon 50/0.95 has not 39mm screw mount LTM. It has a proprietary bajonet and fits for Canon 7 and 7s only.

Not sure why I don't see anything that I like in these pictures.

I like the purple flower shot especially. The lens does make the world look a bit like it's underwater.

Some techs have successfully converted this lens to LTM with rangefinder focusing.

If you turn the lens over and look for a screw thread on the base, you won't find one. With a vary expensive base replacement and adaption, it has been fitted for the Leica M-mount. Only Leica owning surgeons can afford that. Back around 1983, my local camera shop sold me my 0.95 50mm with custom shade, attached to a 7Sz, both in mint condition. They knew I'd been looking for a 7Sz, to they bought this off an estate, then called me. The salesman was half appologizing for robbing me when he said they needed $525 for the lens, shade(with its case), camera body and case. I thought about asking how much they had paid for it, but decided not to rock the boat.
