Easy choice for me mint Nikon F5, if you want a absolutely amazing inexpensive digital body to go with buy a primo Nikon D3, not D3x etc, just the humble D3. D3 was just as much of a breakthrough in technology as the F5 was with film. Pick up a 50 and 85mm nikkor AFD lenses and rock on. If you absolutely want a manual camera buy a newer, mint F3. K1000 bodies are cheap cost reduced, made in Hong Kong versions of the beautiful Spotmatic cameras. If you would have the good fortune to find a screw mount Super Takumar 8 element 50 1.4, buy it and start looking for a body.

Ran across this today. Articles on Film cameras. It title says 35mm but also medium format too.

Here the address: https://www.culturedkiwi.com/best-35mm-film-camera/

Blah blah blah... click bait. The best camera, the best lens, the best phone, the best car, the best whatever... I am tired of this crap. A camera is a tool. Some are more convenient than others but the more important is how to use it. And this, you cannot find it on any internet site, you have to practice.

I prefer the F4 when used with old manual-focus Nikkor primes. I have an F90x that I can use if I need the advanced flash features of the later cameras.
Good call. The F4 is outstanding machine. This list would have people ignore super low priced professional cameras. I sold my F4, too much stuff, fabulous camera.

Only issue with the F4 and F5 is that they are huge and heavy. The F6 is better and has all the features... only issue with the F6 is that it's expensive.

Best for who? Most of the cameras were PhDs ( Push here Dummy) or would not suffer heavy use.
The bast camera is the one you use.

If someone is persuaded to buy a camera and try film because of that article, that's great.
