Since I use almost exclusively Kodak colour slide film, I thought I'd thank them for their support of film, despite the reality of the marketplace. They sent a nice e-mail back:
Regards, Art.
It's not from the CEO and it's not a roll of free film, but I think it's important to keep them aware that there are film photographers out here and I actually do appreciate their efforts.Greetings Art,
We received your e-mail regarding Kodak film, and we appreciate your comments.
Although we have recently announced the discontinuance of Kodak consumer cameras, please be assured that Kodak is, and will remain, committed to manufacturing and marketing the world's highest quality film. With that goal in mind, new films were announced in February 2004. We will also continue to manufacture and sell one-time-use cameras. We will continue to support the needs of retailers and photofinishers, and we believe the large population of traditional cameras currently in use by loyal consumers will support film sales for years to come.
We are glad to be of service and are here for you if you need us in the future. Please reply to us "with history" if you need to respond to this email.
Sincerely,
Renee R.
