For a super conference, I had a ball, I learned a lot and I really enjoyed meeting fellow APUGer's from all over the world.

t_nunn said:"Stand of Trees at Dusk", I like that one, too. I plan on purchasing one his prints later this year (have to save a few bucks first). I think I'm going to get "Two and a Half Trees". That one really spoke to me.

My wife, Debi, was also able to attend with me and we both had a good time and feel we learned a bunch. It was nice to meet the people behind the names here, though I am still not sure of the APUG names of some of the people I met at the conference.
In addition to the organizers and the Elevator staff I think most of the instructors a deserve a hearty thank you as well. Well done everyone!
I took two workshops with Sandy King, and now have a good starting point for platinum or palladium printing, as well as carbon printing. However, I bet it will be a long time before my carbon prints can match Sandy's.
Debit and I both took child photography. Cheryl Jacobs was very informative, and I can see her methods of interacting with children working very well. She really seems to know the keys to her success and it is nice she is willing to share. I know our pictures will improve.
The cross processing workshop with John Callow was also very good. It was nice to hear both his technical as well as artistic ideas on the subject. I don't know how he managed to teach a workshop and organize the conference. I hope to get the color darkroom set back up soon and proof my first roll. After the process is worked out I look forward to trying the technique on a variety of subjects.
After Debi took Peter Schrager's intro to large format class she is now confident to pick up the camera and make some pictures. I've been trying to teach her to use it for years now, so what Peter accomplished in 4 hours is impressive.
I think the highlight of the conference for me was Les McLean's evening talk. Les is the one of the most talented photographers out there, and one of the most entertaining speakers I've had the pleasure of hearing. Having the chance to see so many of his pictures and hear the stories behind them was a joy.
So, thanks again everybody!
