If there's a soluble pill for home colour neg development, sign me up.

blockend, there isn't as yet but there were such pills in the past and it looks to be a strong possibility for the future. That would give Tetenal a unique product edge over any other C41 developer maker

Tetanal have made a couple of announcements on this. The first said little of real substance but that's only my opinion of course. However the second announcement was stronger in its wording and did suggest that something is imminent

I think their most important announcement was that the store is back on-line. That removes a huge amount of skepticism from the conversation.

Yes I wouldn't disagree but if you look at my reply it was an attempt to give blockend, a fellow member, a status on soluble tablets and that was it. I am only replying to you as you quoted my reply to blockend. I am unsure what my reply had to do with the amount of scepticism in what I assume to be your reference to the conversion which I assume to be the general conversation in the thread and not my reply to blockend which contained no element of scepticism as was clear, I believe, from its contents

I think you could make an argument that it was some of both. It was the sweaty PJs who were the main market for monobaths, before color was thing in newspapers, no question, and the enthusiasts who have become the comeback market for that niche product, but I knew people who were developing and printing color at home in the mid-1990s, when you could literally get your prints back in an hour within a fifteen minute drive from any address in the city I lived in.

Things were different per location. In West-Germany minilabs were lesser spread than elsewhere. The big industrial labs had a great markert share.
Concerning press-photographer, here nearly all photographed only in b&w. Only few magazines had colour photos, or were completely in colour. Here only sports magazines I assume to need speedy processing.

Well, that's the internet for you. I assumed my reply was also fairly clear-- I was responding, in kind of a generalized way, to your comment about their announcements, and the relative merits.

As you realized, my reference to skepticism was not aimed at you, but about 3 pages higher up in the thread.
