newbie to C41

b and h has the powder kit, cannot ship though

the liquid is available to ship from Freestyle

is there a resource you Bay Area photographers use for the powder kit?

is it possible Freestyle is the one online resource

the liquid may be better after all

I just bought that kit (powder) back in Jan '14. They're being very safe on shipping haz materials. Which is a bummer. Its not that great of a kit. Well who am i to speak. It works great for me. I think the 25-30 buck kit from Freestyle is the same thing. Unicolor I think it's called. Good luck

The liquid should be a $$ kit and probs better. I'm not 100% sure it's a separate bleach/fix.

(beginner here)



options after processing 4x5 HP+

1) dry negatives, then place in sleeves

2) contact printing--what material would I need for this minimalist project of mine, or

3) send developed negatives out for scanning (so that I might upload to web, process with photoshop)

freestyle has the unicolor powder kits which are gonna be similar to the tetenal. I have used them and while they are not a nice as the kodak SMC liquid kits they work fine.

also if you are doing a lot of c-41 film, spend the extra cash and get the kodak smc liquid kits. you can get the shipped from uniquephoto.

Call Glass Key Photography on Haight Street in San Francisco. I was there several months ago and saw the Jobo C41 press kit on their shelf. Don't know if they still have it in stock as I haven't been there in several months.
