That was made by AGFA, wasn't it?

Unfortunately my few experiments with cheap Tetenal paper made by Agfa have been very disappointing. It just doesn't store well, and gets blotchy fog.

I wouldn't by Tetenal/Agfa paper today - it's got to be a few years old already.

Thanks for the heads up. I just picked up a couple of boxes of the Baryt Vario fibre paper (supposedly Agfa MCC). Less than 9 pounds including P&P for 200 sheets of 10x8.

Cheers

These sound like real bargains but does anyone have experience of using the Neopress developer mentioned in terms of quality, times etc?

I wonder why it is getting rid of paper at such prices. Is this the end of Tetenal B&W paper? It does say: "to make way for new lines". A new paper line? A 100 sheets of 5x7 at £1.50 when you'd expect to pay closer to £10-12 for comparable paper does raise just a little concern when say £5-6 would still be a bargain, even if it doesn't quite rank with Ilford in terms of quality.

Has Ole got it right about it being a few years old already? That might explain £1.50.

I worry about what appear to be ridiculous bargains. I had the Tetenal site on my favourites list but it no longer recognises the URL site and this new site bears little resemblance to the old Tetenal site. What's happened to what used to be a much bigger range of products such as B&W and colour chemistry?

I received my 2 boxes of the TT Baryt Vario fibre paper on Friday. Today I've tried it out.

It's supposed to be Agfa MCC so I entered the details of MCC into my RH Designs Analyser Pro, put in a neg which has been causing me loads of grief lately, worked out the exposure using the Analyser Pro and exposed a sheet. Exposure was spot on! A far better print than I've been able to make for the last couple of weeks. No blotches, fogging or other signs of ageing. Really pleased.

I've just ordered another 4 boxes and the wife's going to clear out the freezer and make room for them. I've never used Agfa paper before, I can now see why many people loved it.

Cheers

Mike
