I placed an order over a week ago. Same thing, only one pack of what I ordered so I agreed to a pack of glossy and one of the semi-matt's I ordered.

Still no delivery.

Left a couple of answer phone messages (never got through on the phone to them/him) saying just let me know what's up now you have charged my card, and a couple of emails, nothing.

As much as they might be a one man outfit, or indeed very busy, or that they come good in the end, I'm sorry -- but this was my first, and last order I'll be placing as I do need someone who is reliable and appears to value custom; which for all the platitudes in the world, not returning e-mails or phone messages isn't a good way to treat customers. I'd be OK with it if the money wasn't sitting in someone else's bank account.

Sad as in my previous experience, albeit some considerable while ago, they did offer a useful service.

I have phoned Retro 3-4 times and left messages regarding ATP 1.1 and Ilford 5x7 film. No reply. H ave also rung ~6 times in the past 2 weeks (morning and afternoon) and have just got the answer phone. I have ordered from them once last year and they were fine, returned the call and sent out the film within a week. However, until they start returning calls/emails, I will not order.

As a follow-up to my experience: Despite saying that a refund had been given for the undelivered paper (and having established that email communication is fine), I have not yet received my refund.

Sad.

Gee. This place sounds great.

Has anyone tried to get on to the Retro website lately?

Me too.

I've never had a big problem with them: everything I've ordered has eventually shown up or they've refunded my money without any hassle. It'll be a shame if they have a problem: they're one of the few UK retailers stocking Minox films.
