Hi there,
I have used Hassy since 88, have always had a pretty straight forward time using a cable release on a 500/C or 500/CM, nice progressive release tension.
But I find that on two otherwise perfectly functional 501/CM’s the force required to overcome the shutter release even in mirror pre-release is just way too stiff with a 120mm through 500mm. These cameras get used often and a fair bit, so I don't think it is stasis. I talked to Dave Odess about it and he does not recall a way to adjust the tension so I am also just wondering if this is a trait of the camera which would stink because I bought them specifically due to no mirror cutoff with long glass.
Anyone else experience this increased needed force to trip the shutter via a cable release on a 501/CM compared to 500/CM's?
