What is the affect of putting a 0.35 Rolleinar, intended for the Telerollei, on a 2.8F? Does it create wide angle? Or just closer focus?

thanks

Both, like all close-up lenses, but since the Rolleiflex isn't a view camera you can only use them for closer focus.

In theory it would make a wide angle, but I have never tried it.
You could get image-degradation because this Rolleinar is not designed for the 80mm Planar/Xenotar.

My 0.70x Tele Rolleinar lives on my
2.8C -- it's just enough to get just
close enough, without introducing
perspective distortion. And it's much
easier to mount and dismount than
the conventional 2-piece Rolleinar.
I've shot thousands and thousands
of frames with this combination. I've
yet to see any degradation in lens
performance.

It is the same as a regular Rolleinar,
only 1/3 weaker. It does not widen
the angle of view, but it does limit
your ability to focus at distance.

Thanks Sanders, and everyone else. I was confused. It sounds like something less than a number 1 Rolleinar. I was not clear that there is a wide angle attachment that is different than the 0.35 Rolleinar. I still am not sure the wide angle attachment exists, outside my mind, that will focus at infinite and turn a 2.8 80 into something shorter.

Dennis, I also have a 0.7 Mutar, and
it is expensive, and it does degrade
the image a bit -- not a lot, but just
enough to lose the biting clarity I've
come to expect from my Rolleiflexes.
