...in tha past 6 months you had 494 sales with 48 negative+neutral. Once again about 9%...this is a terrible track record for E bay. As we say in photgraphy, you are only as good as your last shot....

Even among the positives, there is an unmistakable trend for late deliveries, ignoring emails and rude replies. Not to mention blacklisting those who post negative reviews. I notice that John, on the other hand, has a 100% positive feedback and all comments were positive in nature.

BTW collect888, if you are not an APUG sponsor, we would appreciate that you do not advertise your web site here.....

First how much does it cost to be a sponsor here?

I am just trying to figure out how to make a signature like this (see at the end) and it will be easier for Jorge to ask people not to buy films from me. You need a good identification for a big bad seller, right?

:smile::smile::smile:

Can you put an ad somewhere for me too? Just say Buyer beware (Big and Loud). See if it helps you (or me).

I am considering put an ad in shutterbug for a while, especially after eBay announced fee increase and haven't have time to do it. May be you can save me the effort now with your deep pocket.

My sig here:

collect888 at www.??????????.com (eBay ID collect888)
----------
Supplier of those excellent and rare discounted films and papers like TechPan, Kodachrome 25, Panatomic-X, Agfa Pan 25, Verichorme, Konica Impresa, Fuji Acros, Polaroid 55 and 665, Kodak HIE, Kodak EIR, Kodak AZO papers, Ilford Fiber papers, etc. etc. etc.

(Be sure to check collect888's eBay feedbacks. ) <== Fair enough for new buyers???

I dont need to ask people not to buy from you, they can clearly see by yuour feedback and actions here that buying from you would be like throwing money away...

As to my "big pockets" I use them to buy film from reputable sources, $2500 last year, up to $1200 this year......

Keep it up bubba....this is fun..

Even the nick "collect888" is ominous. Apparently collecting is your main worry. I also suspect that odd discrepancies in the lots you list on e-bay, 10 rolls versus 15 rolls, are put in rather deliberately to fool the buyers, you claim, can not read very well. Also having to covering up your slow delivery practises (which naturally sooner or later will invoke abusive language - it would with me anyway) with giving away free film is a telltale sign you don't have your commercial act together. You never had my business and you certainly never will. So please add my to your Buyer?Block List ASAP.

It is very clear John at JandC did a better job than me and I have bought some films from him too. I like what he did for the B&W community. I hope I can do as nice as him but I admit I have my limitations.

Right now my target is to maintain 98% positive feedback ratio in near term and raise that ratio as soon as possible. It is hard to archieve. I may make 1 mistake in 100 transactions and the buyer make one mistake in 100 transactions and that is 2% already.

Someone want to be in my blocked list. Before I have time to put your ID there please don't bid on my auctions. Sometimes I forgot all about I dislike some seller and still bid on his auction. It happens to me too.

LOL...pay attention, he is talking about John, aka mrcallow, ebay ID peachbutt. He has some of the best color prints on e bay and he delivers, in my case he delivered more than he promised....that is a good ebayer, not one who promises 15 rolls and then says...oops sorry, you need to send me more money so I can screw you once more...thanks but no thanks...

BTW alternative_view would also like to be on your blocked bidder list..

You are wrong here. I was honest on answering it is 10 rolls. If it was intended for 15 rolls I will say so. Here is an recent conversation for eBay item 3874500759:

"Dear collect***:

Is this auction for 20 rolls or 15 rolls of Astia Slide Film. The description mentions 15 rolls. Which?"

Here is my answer:

"The subject is correct. It is 20 rolls. Thanks,..."

You can check it out now. My editing error there is not corrected yet.

Dealing with buyer I am always honest. Even some of those 2% people very dissatisfied with the transaction usually admit that. I may lose money but never let buyer lose their money. Bad service may happen in that 1% of transaction, honesty is always there during the service.

Uh, 9% of dissatisfied people is more likely...at least in the past 6 months....

Listen, why dont you say: "Look, I am sorry, I had some problems and got behind the ball, I am trying to correct this" ? Instead you argue that the people who sent you money and after months of waiting are the ones who have done you wrong. I hope you see nobody here is buying your explanations.....

Collect888 please stop whilst you can still see some daylight. I have been trying to tweek a php/html/javascript/css site all day (my php is not so good) and I'm not getting it done.

We now all know you can't count, business is tough and you have fierce pride. Few apuggers are going to buy from you and soon anyone who googles collect888 is going learn more than you may wish for them to know.

Sure. John, aka mrcallow is doing better than me. I will learn from that. I hope I knew John a few years back and that 10 or 15 rolls thing won't be happening. I have already offered John 15 rolls of free films earlier today. The reason was stated too.

To quote a famous fotografer, "What a jerk".

My EBay feedback rating is worth more than saving a couple of bucks on some OOD film.

Please Mr. collects888, put me (k_jupiter, 203 as of 2/17/05) on your bidder ignore list. In return, I will put you on my APUG ignore list.

Such a deal if you don't screw this up too. Of course, from the look of your EBay feedback, it will probably take you many weeks to accomplish this too and you'll only put me on 2/3's of the ignore list (but send me free shipping!).

Aperrantly discrepancies between number of roles in the auction titles and descriptions are not uncommon then. Number of complaints in the last month is rising as i found one that leaves positive feedback accompanied by "BAD SELLER BEWARE". Probably someone afraid of retaliatory negative feedback.

LOL....no, no, no...pay attention to what you write... this is what you said:

mrcallow, because your transaction is too old (2001?) to figure out, I cannot give you free films right now. But if you buy from me next time, I will add 15 rolls of films free for you. But, please don't just buy one roll and want to get 15 rolls of freebie.

No "offer" of free film, in order for him to get his "free" film he has to send you more money....

BTW, you forgot to respond to my question, how come since 2001 you have been unable to correct this problem?....I guess once you had his money you did not much care to fix the problem uh?...

Please, please continue posting your reasons.....

That was caused by shipping delays. Most buyers were notified about the reason and realized that and still left postive feedbacks. Those are truly silent majority. Read those positive comments by satisfied buyers.

A common business practice is to always keep the customer happy.

It would have been so easy in the beginning to just send John the film and it would have been over and done with.

Is it really worth the price of a few rolls of film to do such damage to your reputation?

The APUG community is well over 5,000 strong, and that's a lot of people who buy film. I'm willing to bet that many of them spend thousands of dollars a year on film alone.

If I was in the business of selling film I sure wouldn't want to destroy my reputation over something like this.

Again. You can stop there now. It is a waste of time to argue about percentage.

My buyers do receive sincere apology when I am behind the schedule. Recent buyer of my film can prove that.

Do you have any Panatomic-X or APX 25 right now?

I'll end the suspense regarding my mis-adventure with collect888 and answer David B's question that reignited this thread.

Pigs will do the backstroke out of my derrière and George Bush will kiss Saddam flush on the lips before I buy a single frame of collect888's film. I suspect no one is surprised.

I will stop wherever and whenever I want. Obvioulsy it is a waste of time to you to discuss perecentages because they dont agree with your assesement of your feedback.

Well, we know of at least 67 customers who did not get the apology....then again if the apology is "I will send you free film if you send me more money" I am not sure many of them are as happy as you say..

Once again, why didnt you correct the mistake with John? you have had 4 years to do so....

I have both. I have APX 25 35mm in large quantity dated 2005 and 2006. Still fresh.

But it seems this is not the focus of the thread . Every old APUGer is attacking me to help their friends and I am so stubborn and will fight to the last minute (before I go test my newly arrived "outdated" film developer).:smile::smile:
