Tech Pan film developing process

I found a 100 ft. roll of tech pan. Found something on the web about developing it in HC-110, (1:79, for 4 1/2 minutes at 75 degrees. Roll is presently in the fix, have my fingers crossed, shot it at asa 32. Any comments or helpfull hints would be appreciated.

Negs are very thin.... Should the developing time be increased?

I think some one still makes the developer or some like the old Kodak one Technol or something like that.Try the Photographers Formulator.

the best stuff was tetenal neofin doku if you can find any.
the hc110 will be hard high con,if you want a nice grey scale barry thorntons superb TechXactol maybe from Photographers' Formulary.

if you get desperate you can get a softer look by making up your own caffenol lc very easy,google for info..
pretty sure caffenol will look good.

Now that Technidol is pretty much impossible to find, Photographer's Formulary TD-3 is designed for this film, and still available.

10 minutes in C-41 Developer, EI 32. (I learned of this in an old Photo-Techniques, not my original idea. Works wonderfully.)

What I seem to be hearing is ...."Don't use HC-110..... OK, thanks for the info I will continue my research. The fact is, I love B&W and my F-4. But I really want the sharp, no grain look of MF. I shot a lot of Tech Pan in the '80. Would like to continue that process.

i process mine asa 200 in print developer ... 6 or 7 mins
it comes out THE BEST ..

If anyone is interested, I used HC-110 at 1:79 for 10 min @ 75 degrees. Very acceptable. Not sure how to post the pic??

Yes. The article suggested using an EI of 50, but I find 32 to be more accurate.
