I just arrived in Taiwan (Taipei) for a conference. I will have some extra time for sightseeing. I am already planning to see the famous gorge at a national park. (I forgot the name, but it starts with "T".) I will also be going to Sun Moon Lake for a couple of days.

Are there any suggestions for good things to see in Taipei, or at the gorge, or at Sun Moon Lake?

Thanks.

Alan

Try Kee Lung on the coast. It is a typical port city but it may be interesting. It is a short bus ride north from Taipei.

If you are making it to the gorge, keep heading south along the east coast. Lot's of things to see along the way.

Hit the museum, if you have time or it's raining. Fabulous Chinese art objects taken from the mainland. The carved jade is amazing.
