Taiwan trip

Hi all,

I am a recent member and if I have posted this to the wrong forum please accept my apologies.

I will be traveling to Taiwan in lest than a week and I am seeking some advice. I wonder whether is is cheaper to buy a camera over there than here in the US? In particular any newer models digital SLRs? What about vintage film rangefinders or medium format cameras? I will probably find out soon enough as I have some idea what equipment costs in the US, but was wondering if anyone has any tips/ideas?
