Would you care to share with us your experiences with analog photography processes by filling out our survey form below? (click the link below for the survey). bit.ly/1vg5siw

The heading is a bit confusing. Most of us would consider "alternative processes" to refer to handcoated processes primarily, and not to traditional analogue photography, but you are including that in the survey, or is it that you are trying to figure out whether conventional silver gelatin printing on factory-produced paper is considered an "alternative process" yet?

Really good survey, and I used to write these things for a living (such as it was). OK, you've got my email address at the end of it, so now you'll know where to send the compensation....what, no compensation? That's fine. I was always amazed that we were able to get so many people to do my surveys for nothing too. Sorta like having a product where your cost of raw materials is free.

From their website: We're all about historical photographic methods in use today - that means mixing emulsions and coating paper by hand. Learn how to print photographs with these techniques, and share your experiences with others.

One of my processes is to never ever click on a hyperlink posted by someone with one post to their handle.

I'm always happy to complete unsolicited web or phone surveys for someone I've never heard of. My old firm used to charge my time at £160 per hour or part thereof,
plus VAT at 20%, so I think that would still be a reasonable charge now. (Payable in full in advance, of course.)

Ditto. And another of my processes is to never consider looking at a survey where the requestor won't take the few minutes to explain who they are and what they really want to do with the results. 99.9% of the telephone "survey" calls I get are really sales calls. I don't know what to make of surveys posted to forums -- lazy students or some sort of scam???? All of this is a real shame because survey work has a legitimate role in data collection for all sorts of research efforts.
