My family used to have a cabin which you had to drive a 7 mile dirt road to get to... No electricity, no phone, etc.

The ride was so rough, that I worried about my SLR, so I packed a Contax with a couple rolls of film in a first-aid kit and hid it under the stove burners (I didn't want anyone to steal it. People would break in all the time, sleep there, occasionally they'd steal the wind-up record players and kerosene lanterns, but they always left the real treasures - the Bauer dishes).

I used to daydream about having a darkroom in the toolshed. I imagined an enlarger with light from the sun reflected in by mirrors.

Got so far as to clean the shed in preparation for use as a darkroom, but never brought up the enlarger. That was the desert island scenario I envisioned.

p.s. It was Panatomic-X and I'd develop in D-76

I think that might just have to be TMY-2 and HC110 Dil B. Shaken, not stirred. Please have that delivered to apartment 20C for me...

My recommendation would be either HP5+ or Tri-X in D76 (either stock or 1:1).

This thread sound like the late night dormitory bull sessions about whether one would want all the money in the world or all the beautiful women in the world.

Or what really happened to Suzanne, did she leave or tragically die? Would he have ever see her again.
James Talyor: Fire and Rain
Just yesterday morning they let me know you were gone
Susanne, the plans we made put an end to you
I walked out this morning and I wrote down this song
Just can't remember who to send it to

I've seen fire and I've seen rain
I've seen sunny days and I thought they'd never end
I've seen lonely times when I could not find a friend
But I always thought I'd see you again

Won't you look down upon me, Jesus?
You've got to help me to make a stand
You've just got to see me through another day
My body's aching and my time is at hand
I won't make it any other way

I've seen fire and I've seen rain
I've seen sunny days that I thought would never end
I've seen lonely times when I could not find a friend
But I always thought I'd see you again

So I'm walking my mind to an easy time
Back turned towards the sun
Lord knows the cold wind blows, it'll turn your head around
Well, there's hours of time on the telephone line
Talking about things to come
Sweet dreams and flying machines in pieces on the ground

Woh, I've seen fire and I've seen rain
I've seen sunny days and I thought they'd never end
I've seen lonely times when I could not find a friend
But I always thought I'd see you somehow one more time again, yea

Thought, I'd see you one more time again
There's just a few things coming my way this time around
Thought I'd see you, thought I'd see you, fire and rain
Thought, I'd see you just one more time, Susanne
Na na na na la la la, ohh

Entirely too much time and bandwidth spent on this bull! "Bull!" I say "Bull!"

Eastman 5222 Double-X and HC-110. I'd spent my time photographing Mary Ann.

Maybe EFKE IR820 since then I could get IR and Mostly regular B&W images taken.

Or if you're talking current "IR" then the Rollie IR400 stuff.

Then again they don't cut that in 8x10 so that's a problem...

I would not want a film or developer, as on a desert or deserted island I would prefer to (when in Rome) experiment with what grows there and the Anthotype possibilities of various plants. This would keep me interested until I was rescued by a passing boat.

Now that's a fine answer, as is chasing Ginger!

But I'll take along HP5 and HC110 just in case.

much better choice than my dektol ...
my dektol will go belly up, and your a130 will be alive for a long long long time

I just used some that was mixed 3 years ago (I think). Stored in glass jars, to the top, no air. Worked perfect. I ran 18-8x10 and 4-4x5 through 500ml total of 1-1. I could of taken it further, but I changed it out anyway.
