In a lot of misclaneous stuff I bought what I thought were elements of a superwide lens. Something similar to a super angulon. one of the elements is 64.14mm in diameter. The other is 80.03mm in diameter and is marked 'made in japan'.

Both elements fit into a copal 0 sized shutter. Neither of them have threads for filters.

I loaded the elements up into a shutter I have and threw it on my 4x5. I figure the combined elements are about 65mm focal length. The center looked sharp enough but the edges seemed soft.

I do have two unmarked ilex superwide angle lenses so I am no stranger to unmarked industrial lenses. But now im leaning more to the idea that these are both rear elements from different lenses.

Any ideas from you folks on APUG?
