I can get this stuff for under $3/roll at the local drug store chain. It it comparable in color saturation to Superia 100?

This is 35mm

It is more saturated than Superia 100

As always with C-41 film, you get the most/best out of it with professional developing. I loved Fuji's 200 speed 'xtra' film, and the 400 is good too with very vidi colors, especially, to my eyes, purple.

So to answer your question, no, I believe it has more saturation than the 100 speed film.

I haven't tried the 100 but I'm happy with 400.

Bought mine from Adorama 2 weeks ago at $1.99/roll.

It would be interesting to know how it differs from Fuji PRO 400, which I totally love, and Fuji press 400? Some people say it is a very similar film.

It is my understanding that fuji press and Superia are essentially the same.

Just shot most of a roll of this stuff in my Holga 35mm pinhole. It was good I had the pinhole because my too-smart-for-me DSLR started giving some obscure error message. And its was good the DSLR wonked out, because it made me rely on the pinhole and look harder for shots. Last shots were of dirt (curving plow marks). I guess I'll have them next weekend.

At $1.99 per 36-exposure roll this film can not be beat. Is it the best color accuracy out there, probably not, but again for the price you can't go wrong. I have shot about 50 rolls of the Superia Xtra ISO 400 and I have no complaints, reds can be a bit exaggerated, but I shoot it in my Holga so that doesn't really bother me since realism is not the goal. Plus I think they even sell this at COSTCO so you may be able to get it for cheaper than $1.99 a roll if you are a member. My avatar picture was shot on this film.
