If you've faithfully read the forums here you may recall mention of a rare phenomenon. A Bausch & Lomb Portrait Objectiv lens product that still has the little protective jacket after 110 years. Beyond rare. I think there may be 2 of them. Was it Garrett that has the other one?
This Bausch & Lomb is a faithful American copy of a Dallmeyer 1a Petzval lens. It even says 1a on it although no mention of Dallmeyer, so I'm thinking they weren't paying royalties. It is 9" f4 and has the Soft Focus 1 - 4 feature. Controls slide like butter.
Original lens cap and flange are present. Also present are a couple of tiny pecks on the rear glass. Too small to photograph but I have to mention because they don't pass the fingernail test. Smaller than the air bubbles that the mfr's would leave. No effect.
I'm out of the loop these days so no idea what this might fetch on eb ay. It's obviously been in a time warp some place. I've had it 6+ years and never made an image. Buyers beware. This needs at least a 6X6 lens board. It's a very substantial lens!
