There is an adapter on the Bay for an SL66 to M42 adapter. I happen to have an M42 mount 50/1.4 that would be a wide angle on 6x6 but I'm curious if the image circle would be sufficient for 6x6 to preclude vignetting?

I'll probably just spring for the 50/4 Distagon but those extra stops to 1.4 sound pretty enticing. Would this lens be at all usable on my SL66?

My biggest concern would be the flange distance for the lens to work normally. 45.46mm for M42 vs 102.80mm for the SL66. I saw some adapters that would move the lens even further from the film plane. How that works, I know not. Unless they are designed for a specific FL lens or macro use.

Doubtful that a 50 f1.4 Takumar could cover anywhere close to 120 format.

Most 120 to 35mm adaters are for using medium format lenses on 35mm bodies.

The adapter allows you to use your SL66 lenses on your Pentax body.
