This is a really great calculator. When you have to travel into the back-country and you want to be sure the sun is right when you get there, this calculator can save you another round trip! I recommend it.

I cheat. The U.S. Navy has the tables worked out for any year and any latitude - longitude. It gives the sunrise, sunset, moonrise, moonset, time of day and altitude - azimuth. If you live in the U.S. just type in a city. I know this is cheating, but I hate that much math or computational B.S. with a palm or whatever. Sorry, never make it as a geek (perhaps a camera geek?) tim
