I gave my niece my Nikon FM for her class in school. She lost the part that screws onto the top of the film advance/shutter cocking arm. The little button shaped thing that holds the arm in place. This is the second time it has gone missing from the camera. A few years ago I was able to find a place that sells Nikon parts and they had it. Now I have been looking all over the web and can't find it.

Anyone have a suggestion where I go to get it. Or does anyone have an old junker Nikon FM or FE of some variety that has that screw button piece?

Thanks
Dennis

Blue Moon Camera in Portland. They should have the pinface screw that holds the advance lever on. They'll even put it on for you.

I cant help with the part, but I will suggest glueing it on with a dab of fingernail polish or a light version of lock tight if you have some.

Thanks for the help. Blue Moon camera is nearby so I will try there. Otherwise I guess it is ebay for some body for parts sale.

^Haven't had that problem up here. If anything, one of the repair shops around here has been closing out some of their Nikon parts inventory. Most of it being NOS parts for F4 bodies and D200 bodies, etc.

Blue Moon will likely repair dpurdy's camera for him. Probably very cheaply, since it's a 5 minute job.
