Just wondering if anybody wants to get together… Bring all your stuff you don't want anymore and over coffee or beer we can swap, give away or sell our stuff? Maybe in march sometime...in the Plymouth area...?

I have flashes, brackets, 35mm cameras, bronica components , photo books etc

I do have some darkroom related stuff that could stand to have a new home.
As for stuff I need, not so much.

Hi,

There are almost nothing available darkroom related here in Brazil, so, even having acquired the basics I steel miss some items:

1) A 4x5 enlarger - have spent nearby 400 bucks only for shipping a Beseler 23CII, and don't see a way to upgrade my enlarger in the years to come, as a 4x5 is close to 2 times the weight of a 6x9, and probably will empty my pocket with the shipping and importing taxes.

2) I would buy a 11x14 set of 4 trays for paper development, but 60 bucks each at B&H or Adorama... You're kidding.

3) Bought 2 Gralab timers at the devil bay, both inconsistent - you press the button or the pedal and it doesn't starts, or starts half of a sec and stops. Those timers were reported to be in perfect shape, but return to the seller was not an option due to shipping costs.

4) Paper and film dryers - too much costy, fear to brake it when shipped, so I'm washing the 4x4 film sheets in a Yankee Agitank, and roll film in the dev. tanks.

5) Ilford filter set in 4x4" - difficult to find, and close to 70 bucks from Canada which will double after shipping and taxes.

What I have made lately was to buy some stuff and ask to a relative to re-pack to spare shipping fees, and guess for the instable mood of the customs agent the day it arrives, hoping for the best, but prepared for the worst,

If you have any items which I could use in our darkroom here, just drop me a line, it would be tremendously helpful,

Cheers,

Renato

Ok...I can't find an official place to meet so let's go to the Cafe Chew in Sandwich on April 23rd at 9ish and after we'll walk to the post office parking lot (next door) and open up our trunks/hatch's and swap, sell, give away...etc. Maybe if things are left over, we can bring them to Whitey's in CT if he has a summertime beach-day this year...!

Is anyone else interested in coming to this? If you have my number call me up…

I would like to go. Any idea how many we are? I'd like to know before I commit to a 3.5 hour round trip.

After further consideration, I do have a pretty good trove of stuff I can bring.

How will we recognize each other? I will wear a (film) camera.

Ed

So far just 4-5. We may go over to the canal after eating breakfast and show our stuff there.

Any of you folks have an 35/MF enlarger that needs a new home? Got a friend looking for one (WTB)
Can't make to Sandwich today (I'd need to be on the road already), but we can figure something out.

Thankfully, some stuff went and no new stuff went home with me other than what I expected (some film to develop). And Barry, someone has an enlarger for you.
