This terrific shot is fully freighted with emotional contradiction. Just blows me away.
I gotta ask: is this a Roma child?
Me too-if a lousy scan looks this good I can't wait to see a more finished version. This terrific shot is fully freighted with emotional contradiction. Just blows me away.

Yes, I’m always amazed by this when I look at this picture. But what else can we expect fromNB23, that photo of the boy in the window looks like studio lighting, it is lit so perfectly.
NB23 - What is your favorite paper size that you are printing? They look like 30x40cm, my favorite size - pretty pricey, but gorgeous look when looked alive.
WOW! That is extreme, in a good way! And I was thinking that I am printing a lot.
I agree with small is beautiful, but it is hard to dodge and burn.
I am planning longer vacation in the Balkans, going from village to village that were sung in the local songs (especially Bosnia)...this print "People waiting for the Bus" puts emotions in this plan again.
We feel your pain. Perhaps some of us can be of assistance?...And the biggest joke? I now have about 75 boxes of 11x14 (50 sheets) waiting to be printed. And it has to be quick because it’s getting old and I’m afraid to lose them....
people love using this paper for lumen prints and / or sun prints ... and depending on how fogged ... paper negatives
I’ve purchased a lot of old paper over the last few years, my intent is to do most everything BUT straight prints.
I do love a nice 5x7-I take part in the Postcard Exchange and often print about 4x6/ 4.5x4.5 in on this size paper; it's interesting how different sizes influence how you read an image. I've bought up a lot of old Bromesko etc, with a bit of Antifoggant in the developer old papers can work very well.
