Street shots (new ones)

"I have no idea why I'm even photographing. What's the purpose?"

I'd never heard of you.
Then I see your shots here, in this thread, and then over on Insta

That eye you have, the talent for picking out the quirks, the odd poses, the bizarre expressions, the weird juxtapositions, the grain, the look.
They all resonate: they are funny, warm, human yet exotic, and have a POV not seen elsewhere.

I'd buy a book of just this, several books of this.
Done any books?

So, you know, that's why: what you saw in your shots, I then saw. Job very well done.
Thanks.

Hey, thank you very much.

I’d love a book... but I fear there would be no interested editors. And I’d understand them: my pics lack a wow at first sight, necessitating a second deeper look.

And the buyers, who would they be? Maybe one day, perhaps

Well, I've bought self-designed shooter's books from one of the better "print/bind/ship-on-demand" services.

If you look into that, why, I'll take two.

Editors? Who needs editors? You git followers; build a fan base, a whadyacallit, a groundswell.

Make one of those things the kids call Zines. You have a lot of talent, and there is little risk if you make it yourself.

Thanks for the encouragements, guys

Well, Ned, there ya go ^ . Quod erat demonstrandum; your " ...talent for picking out the quirks, the odd poses, the bizarre expressions, the weird juxtapositions..."

A solid and pleasing composition; priceless timing. Humor, sympathy.

Yeah, I'd buy your book. Fer sher.
.

Hey, thanks!

yup. I'd buy one too.

Good stuff!

Sending some Love

Thanks

“…all photographs are self-portraits.” – Minor White
+1 on that! His 'Minotaur ' is one of my favourite pictures, transforming a man working in a hole in the road into a mythical character.

That fleeting moment you can't predict or prepare for...

Shot on tmax100. I had to burn 20x into the white fur, it was so blown.

Yes, tmax100 can ba hard to tame...

That kid and goat (kid and kid?) photo is a winner. More than worth the effort, I'd say.

Ah, Ned, do a book. Please. Even just a 'zine. On newsprint, even. And please include the kid & goat.

Seriously, your work is much better than most of what I've seen published. There is no justice in the world.

If I had the social medias I would check out your instagram just to see more.

What do you mean? A photo can't be great if it doesn't have 32 megapixels of extreme sharpness!!

Just kidding, of course.

Gotta concur, the effort was worth this moment. Tmax is pretty great - never had a highlight issue...what's your metering like, the light you shoot in like, and the developer you're onto now?
Just curious, I'm more into Tmax 400 but the times I've used it in 100 I never had a contrast issue.

I’m onto my last 100 rolls of tmax100 (out of about 2000), and yes it can be tricky sometimes. This was metered ttl. All in all, I still could pull some detail from the severe blown white so that’s what counts. This was developed in ilfosol-s, and now I use Ilfosol-3 for tmax100 in order to get some grittiness, as much as possible. Otherwise it is too smooth.
