From the back alley.

"Bill" - was the guy who sorted the junk from the salable stuff at the Goodwill store. Very gentle, soft spoken man. We'd chat every time I hung out in the alley. YUP - he got a copy and loved it.

Interesting... and a great shirt. What’s the film? It’s a bit saturated and contrasty, or is that from scanning?

BTW, some of the nicest folks I’ve met worked for Salvation Army. Many had hard lives but those jobs seem to be very good for them and society as a whole.

I think it was the lower end Fuji Color. I am for the first time using Imgur as an intermediate loader. So far, the images have very poor color and contrast versus the original. I might be doing something wrong.

Agreed. I was a bargain hunter and spent lots of time in thrift stores. Met some wonderful people working in there. I might have one of the other guys who worked at the same store.

When I worked as a PJ for a local paper one of the things you had to learn really fast was how to make a print that once halftoned would look good in the newspaper.

Same goes for images posted here. I generally don't have to do a large "Photrio Correction" but a little helps. Finding the optimal upload px dimemsions is one such exercise.

You can get good quality display from our gallery as long as you hit the sweet spots.

Scanning is another factor that needs to be fiddled with. Isn't it fun!

Both portraits are fine for me! The "Hellsangel" guy is as soft as the icecream.

Great portraits. I never got interested in doing portrait work, but I enjoy seeing good portrait work.

Kids AND a Dog? Who can resist.
