I've been out documenting the local lake scene this summer, working with a Rolleiflex 3.5F and Ilford HP5, shooting a roll a day each weekend day.
The camera is such a welcome sight by so many people. Several of the photos were initiated because the subject called out, "Nice camera." If you're having any trouble going up to people to photograph them, get a Rolleiflex!
It's a continuing project. Every time I go out, I pull the car over to park and think, "There's nothing here," and then get out of the car and there is.
Here's more on going out and getting started working. https://6x6portraits.wordpress.com/2022/07/21/theres-nothing-out-here/
Or a direct link to the project with 60 photos: http://LongmontLakeProject.com - I registered that domain name that redirects to my site so I could easily tell people how to see the photos.
