Hello,

I am testing a custom developer based on pyro using stand processing (60mins). The film is a Fomapan 100.

I ended up with these strange streaks on the negative. I am stopping with water.

Any ideas?

thanks

Looks like lots of foam.

Stand development is of course always somewhat tricky and may play a role here. Have you agitated at least for the first 30-60 seconds of development?
What kind of tank (and reel) do you use and how much developer volume do you use in it?

The spot on the top right also suggests that the film was touching something else in that area. Some kind of problem with your tank and/or handling procedures.

Can you get decent/even development with a normal agitation regime? If not, get that down first before attempting the complications of stand development.

I am using a tray SP810 and with standard agitation, there is no problem. I see no foam in the developer. I will try with a semi-stand.
thanks a lot.

It's pretty clear it's an ancient curse given the subject.

Curses usually result in foam and when you don't do the agitation dance to placate the gods it just sits there on the emulsion. Sticking pins into an effigy of the person who told you to do stand development will lift the curse.
