Hah

I actually dreamed last night that Fuji had decided to put Neopan 400 120 back into production.
I was all happy and ordered a whole heap of it.

But when I woke up this morning I was all:

They really need to put it back on production....where do I send a complaint?

Or a request.
Steve.

I'll send a stern complaint in British-English, which will sound more like a request ;-)

I know from past posts that there have been writings/requests/complaints and feedback from customers to Fuji about this, but I've never actually seen an email address that I could use.

They need to get feedback at least, and I am prepared to do my part. =)

In Tibet, it is said, certain monks can sit in the snow and, by intense concentration, cause the snow to melt around them. Apart from being a strange method for getting a wet arse, it verifies the power of thought in creating alternate realities. Ergo, you did, indeed, through your passionate dream, cause a parallel universe to arise in which your ardently-desired film was abundantly available. The trick now is to find your way back and dwell there. Dream on!

You can still get Neopan 400 in 35mm AFAIK.

Indeed, I just ordered 10 rolls ^^

Lesm: Never say never. From what I gather, there was some issue with a chemical component being environmentally unfriendly.
Sounds similar to the Velvia 50 issue.

I really don't have big hopes that it will come back into production, but it wouldn't cost me a drop of sweat sending my opinion about it to them.
- After all, complaining dreamers turned the tables on Velvia

Indeed. I wasn't meaning to suggest you were dreaming in vain. Far from it. I'm a great believer in the power of our thoughts to create what we desire. I've had plenty of evidence of it in my life. Go for it, mate!

Haha! tomalophicon: That will certainly do the trick. ^^ "Give it back.......or ELSE!" =D

I'll not threaten them with anything, just let them know what <bleep> they are for removing the product

I'll probably try out Foma 400 and see how I like that (in 120), looks edgy and cool (I need that for certain types of shoots), but afaik it's "only" ISO 250(?), probably depends on the processing.

They brought back Velvia 50 by popular request so it's got to be worth a try.

If you're unable to find your way back to that dream I have one roll of Neopan 400 120 in my fridge you can come visit here and there.

Funny that this thread started up. I was a little drunk last night (as seen in my posts from the evening) and in a fit of sadness, I bid and won a 10 pack of Neopan 400 120. Man do I miss it too....

Submitted my request as well.

Thank you for your generous offer dehk, unfortunately I am located in Europe, I am rarely in West Michigan

The request form/complaint form was very easy to use though, I recommend anyone reading this thread to use it, who knows? ^^

I just might take you up on the offer for using the form. I Do like 120 Neopan 400 myself also.

But like i said before, if you happen to find yourself in West Michigan, even in your dreams, we can discuss visitation time

Heh, I actually got a response from Fuji today, very nice of them to actually answer my questions.
Unfortunately, it was discontinued and will not be resurrected again. I kind of expected that, but hey, it's always good to let the manufacturers know that you care about their products

I have, during the past couple of weeks, secured around 30 rolls of Neopan 400 in 35mm. I will probably see if I can get hold of some more (starting to get space issues in my freezer, no room for food anymore!). 50 rolls should probably last me a very long time.

Stocking up and then ordering as usual until my stash is getting old, or they stop production of this film in 35mm, is what I plan to do. ^^

Dear Mr./Ms. **** Helin,

First of all, thank you so much for your inquiry about our films.

We had discontinued the Neopan 400 in 120 format due to the rapid decrease in demands.
And unfortunately now we don't have any plan to produce this film again for same reason.
We are sincerely sorry for this inconvenience.

Thank you so much again for using our films.

Best regards,
Yoriko *****

They said the same thing about Velvia 50. If anything, it was more complex to re-introduce Velvia 50 as they had to find a substitute for one if its component parts which they could not source any more.

If Fuji does bring back Neopan 400 in 120, I'll have to stay away from it, as every new-to-me film I try seems to get discontinued:
Neopan 400/120? Check.
BW400CN/120? Check.
Plus-X/120? Check.

I'll probably try FP4+ next, so stock up while you can. :D

Gee, the dreams I had last night were about murderous poltergeists leaping out of trash piles in derelict buildings and strangling people. Totally cliché, but when they're your problem, it really stinks.

I did have a nice dream about bicycling and photographing stuff with LF, though. But I don't remember what film I used. At least the holders were loaded, and the light was good.

This reminds me one of the greatest scenes of cinema ever written, shall I say designed, which still makes me cry like a baby when I see it:
