I have a CF80 that I use on my 500cm that has an odd issue. Although the lens mounts and dismounts fine and functions correctly, when it is cocked and off the camera, pushing the little lock/release pin does not fire the shutter and the pin seems loose.
I am surprised that that lens works as I was under the assumption that the pin is pushed by the corresponding pin on the body when mounted which then allows the camera to activate the shutter via the screw. My thought was that if the pin on the lens is not functional then either the lens would not stay cocked off the camera or would not fire. Since the lens is functioning I am loathed to send it off for repair or remove the back plate to check myself.
All my other lenses work as expected in that the cocked shutter is released when the lens is off the camera by moving the lock pin.
An internet search doesn't find any reference to this type of behavior.
