Hello everybody:
I have a Hasselblad 501 CM with a 80 mm 2.8 CFE and a A12 magazine. The camera is practically new. Once in a while, but not always, a straight scratch appears all the way long in the film. Do you have an idea why it happens?
Thanks,
Henry.

You have a burr or bit of crud in the film magazine or, if you are shooting FSU [Efke, Foma, Arista, Orwo, Adox, Rollei, Slavich ...] film, the film may have a manufacturing defect.

If the problem is in the magazine then the location of the scratch should guide you to the location of the burr.

What Nick said, plus: the burr could also be on the dark slide. It depends on how regularly the scratch shows up and its relationship to your activities.

I have three a12 backs that have been loaded hundreds of times each... never a scratch.
