Storm on the Mountain

Here are a few shots I got while my nephew and I were out hiking a couple weeks ago. The winds were really blowing, to say the least (70+ mph) I got knocked off my feet during a couple of gusts and my tripod didn't work too well. The winds blew the heavy duty tripod right over (luckily I caught my camera before it hit the ground).


Despite all that, It was a fun day on the mountain. I'll take rain, snow or high winds any day in the high country compared to the best of days in the flat lands


These were shot with my Mamiya RB67 medium format film camera. Taken on Foma 100 and developed in Rodinal at 50:1

Wow! Snow devils. Last time I saw those they were on a ridge above Ruby Lake in the eastern Sierra. While I got nice shots, yours blows me away because you're immersed in it.
