The saddest camera theft was a Leica camera stolen from an elderly friend’s car. Camera was presented to him by E. Leitz with his name and dedication on top plate. Camera was never recovered.

Jobo ATL 1500, EU 230v version stolen in Los Angeles last week (I moved here from Europe recently). Serial number 11852. The thieves weren't aware enough to steal the transformer to power it, or the hoses an cables needed to run it. Oh well. This took me forever to find and rarely come up for sale, please let me know if you happen to see it listed anywhere.

Thanks,
Thor

Not at all making light of you loss, but.......
I am assuming this was stolen by "accident" or ignorance....this was not the only item taken.?
It seems an odd thing for your average thief to take. Even a 1980's camera might look valuable to a crook, but a Jobo ATL 1500.?
Perhaps the thief was a photographer.......:wondering:

On the 10th. of January this year I send a Hasselblad C.Z. Distagon C 50mm T* and two Hasselblad A12 film backs from Belgium to the repair shop in the Netherlands for a CLA.
They never arrived and the Belgian Mail as well as the Netherlands Mail don't know where that parcel is and are still looking for it as they have the legal and middle ages right on 2 x 20 days for researching...
The parcel must have 'disappeared' on the 11th and the transporter, between the two countries, doesn't know anything about it. The Netherlands ar a neighbor country and the shop is about 140 km away.
The serial numbers are:
Distagon 50 mm: 6276326
A12 filmback: UP422201
A12 filmback: RS3161806
If somebody happens to 'stumble' on them, please give me a sign.
thanks.

Stolen from the Round Green area of Luton, Beds UK 28 February 2021 between 5pm and 10pm. Taken from a bag in my porch.

Zeiss-Ikon 520/16 with Novar Anastigmat lens. This camera has a possibly unique modification of a cold shoe on the top of the body.
Tremendous sentimental value as it was my late father's camera, on which he taught me the basics of photography as a very young child.
No serial numbers but I have recent photos.
