All,

it has been reported that Steve Simmons the owner and editor of View Camera Magazine was in a horse related accident Friday night. I picked this note off the Large format forum today. This is a post from Kirk Gittings of New Mexico.

"Best wishes to Steve Simmons who was crushed by a saddle bronc Friday while photographing a rodeo in Santa Fe. He sustained numerous injuries, a concusion, three broken ribs, a dislocated shoulder and ten stitches. Facts are vague because Steve does not remember much. He is home and recovering."

Best wishes and a speedy recovery,

lee\c

Oh my gosh! Will we get more information of how he is doing? I would like to send a card of best wishes to him.
This is very sad.

Steve is hurting but doing ok and his spirits are high. Wort thing is he can't ride a horse for weeks. He was shooting rodeo and, as with most of us sometime, was so involved in what he was doing that he got himself in the wrong place and basically got run over by a horse. He said to me Saturday, "I would normally tell people that they should see the othr guy but in this instance I don't even think the horse knew he had clobbered me as he went streaking by."

He is taking it easy as he has to. Send him an email at largformat@aol.com
