you can mount the slides in standard mounts, as the 2 images are shot side by side on a standard 35mm frame. As for a viewer you need a old Stlitz or Pentax slide viewer that views standard 35mm slides. You could also buy a Russian stereo viewer kit - these come with a attachment that lets you use the beamsplitter as a viewer - I've used one with good results before - http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/STEREO-C...449?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5af2b9cc99

My Uncle John used a Stereo Realist back in the day. In addition to being a physicist and working with Radiation Labs in Cambridge during WW II he had a master's in optics, so I'm sure he made his choice in an informed manner. Got some wonderful shots....

Someone suggested a 3 D adaptor for a 35mm SLR, scanning in the result and viewing on a 3 D TV. Genius idea! We have a 51 inch Samsung 3 D TV. Now to find the adaptor.....

I am happy with my Kodak though it could use a CLA. The bubble level in the finder is a really nice touch.

Interesting item. However, I am not familiar with helios-44. Upon googling I found the thread size is 58mm but not sure if the item is exactly 58mm. And the viewer description is said capable of 50mm X 50mm. Such an odd size.
