I finally made time to use my new SP-445 developer tank over the weekend.
I like it.
I was able to load it with no problems though I should have spent a little more time getting used to loading it with some practice film. But I managed to get it loaded with out damaging my film.
I did not have any issues with leaking during inversion agitation.
It is a "little" slower to fill and drain than the Patterson system 4 tanks I use but not hideously so and I don't think it will be an issue.
I would not hesitate to buy it again.
I've also gotten a few emails from the regarding other products they are developing. One was a numbered tag system for LF film holders that will mark the edge of the film with an alpha-numeric code. The other is a compact three tray with included/attached multi-slot film washer. If they bring them to market there is a fair chance I'd be interested.
Nice to see continued innovation from a supplier.
