I haven't seen any indication that it has been discontinued. Looks like it's available at Freestyle and B&H. Is it possible Glazers is trying to sort out that TMY 1 is gone?

Hello,

I just spoke with our purchasing person and Kodak 8x10 TMY IS available in 10 sheet boxes. One of our salespeople inadvertently gave out incorrect information.

5x7 is a special order size, and I believe we have sold all of the leftover from our cutting last year.

Sorry for the misinformation out there!

thanks,

William

Any hack out there that wants to spin the rumor wheel is fully entitled to do so and regularly does. The reader can quickly place this information in the trash can where it rightfully belongs. But when a vendor passes along such misinformation without taking the time to substantiate the validity of such a serious claim irrespective of where it came from is both irresponsible and lazy. Someone in the business is supposed to "know" what is going on as their statements inherently are taken at a higher degree of acceptance and accuracy.

It takes all of four minutes tops to make the simple phone call and be 100% sure that the information you are passing along is accurate particularly when the subject involved it a sensitive subject. If you want to be taken seriously, credibility is at the top of the pyramid.

I suspect the staff at most camera stores are digital oriented. There may be one or two who keep abreast of traditional photography. I've called Glazers in the past and been switched to one of those experts, which is definitely preferable to a flip answer from a digital myopic staff member. It was a scary rumor not good for my heart ;-)

Myopic staff members should be working at the roller rink not dispensing opinions as representatives of a photographic company that expects to be taken seriously. In certain businesses this conduct would get your ass written up in the personal department.

This will be taken up with the correct people internally and externally to make absolutely sure that it never happens again.
