Foma 400 in Xtol 1:1
If you dry the 120 film in a humid environment it will also dry perfectly flat across length and width.

Sanders -- I actually like 100 more so than 200 - even though I love all three speeds 100/200/400. They all dry the same (I think you use TF-4 fixer) nice and flat.

The issue I've found with FP200 as of late is what I read about earlier in this thread -- specks and pinholes in the emulsion. The strange thing is I could go through 10 rolls and never see the issue -- but then dev a roll of 35mm and find 4 or 5 frames that have numerous specks / flecks -- but the rest of the roll is just fine. The last time it happened, I thought maybe my fix was on the long side - so I mixed up a new batch. I just dev'd a roll of 120 FP200 last night -- shot with the Pontura -- same thing happened. There was two frames with specks and pinholes -- LOTS of them -- but few, if any - on the remaining six frames.

What's the issue? Who knows. I'm not sure if FP200 will ever re-emerge. What I do know is I love all flavors of Fomapan well enough to keep using the stuff. The only thing that really bothers me is spotting the prints! I think FP is a perfect match for the vintage camera and lenses I've been experimenting with for the last few years... but that's just me...

I was just shooting the last of mine a couple of days ago. Still have half a roll loaded.

Found a few more rolls that I'd forgotten about in the freezer and have been shooting them in my Perkeo II, so now I'm really down to my last roll.

I just visited Freestyle's site and see that they
have 35mm Foma 200 in stock, in rolls and 100-
foot cans. Has Foma returned the 200 film to
production? If so, does anyone know how it
compares with the old Fomapan 200?

Aurelien, yes -- I keep meaning to print but
my professional life has been in flux -- my firm is
moving me to Florida and I've been preoccupied
with finding a place to live down there. The
good news is I think I have ... and it has a
darkroom.
