does anyone have any suggestions for stand developing pan f in rodinal?

Other than, "Do it!" I would use 1:75 for 40 min @ 75 deg with one inversion at start and another @ 20 min. The results will astonish you. I use the same dilution and time for nearly all films with superb results.

I tried this recently with a roll of 120 rated at ISO 50 using a dilution of 1:200and a time of 90 minutes. The negatives really "glow" but are a little contrasty for my taste. Next time I'm going to try 75 minutes. Bill

thanks for the advice, i JUST took them out of the wash and am really happy with the way they look.
it was expired pan f, shot at 25, developed for 1 hour in rodinal at 1:100.
this is certainly something i will be doing more of!

I've developed literally hundreds of rolls and sheets of film in Rodinal using semi stand and it produces amazing negatives - compresses highlights, lifts shadows and increases edge effects. I use 1:100 dilution - twice the volume of developer to film. For example, using a 4 reel tank, I'd fill it with developer but only develop 2 rolls (2 reel tank, only 1 roll). I develop for 1 hour and agitate only once at the start for 30 seconds and again at the midway point for another 30 seconds. Negs have always been absolutely perfect - not one incident of uneven development. Good luck!

Try "regular" development first. An old standby was 1:75, 1:85 Of course that was before Rodinal disappeared from the American market and came back, methinks, "different."
Although I have never tried "stand" development--I usually sit down because of my arthritis (grin)--I just don't see how one can avoid bromide drag and uneven development without proper agitation.
But what do I know!?

Agreed, at least with 120 film. My experiment yielded severe uneven development - BUT - I did not have an empty reel below the loaded reel, and extra developer above the film. I think that would help.

Often I develop slow films with Rodinal 1+100, and the results are great. I agitate 4 times in the first minute, then once per 3 minutes [one gentle inversion].

My favourites are Acros at EI 50, Delta 100 at EI 50.
