I recently tried a negative stand developed in my BTZS 5x4 tubes and while it worked very well it was a bit inconvenient to use. I was wondering if anyone was using the 2509n reels in the matching Jobo tank for stand developing and if so do you have any tips or comments.

My pyro based developer works exceedingly well at 1:300 @ 21c so I don't need a large amount of concentrate. Agitation for an initial 60 seconds and then one inversion at 30 minutes.

I do it, Rodinal 1+100, for an hour or until I get bored.
No tips or issues specific to Jobo that I've found.
Tip developer in, invert a few times, invert a bit more every 10-15 mins to prevent Bromide Drag, tip out, stop, fix, wash, done.

Thanks for the response. Have you noticed any density differences where the sheet sits in the grooves of the reel?

Don't think I've ever looked, to be honest, I'll check when I get home.
The 2509n doesn't have that much of a groove, so the exposed emulsion doesn't really get covered up by the plastic.

I have definitely noticed density differences around the edge with my CL81 without looking for them, but they were roll-processed with Microphen/Xtol/Perceptol. And there's always more than enough room to crop on an 8x10...
