I'm in need of a squeegee for my prints. Is the type offered by the Photo Shops, basically the same material as a commercial glass cleaning type sold at the box stores? I don't mean the cheap ones, but the ones that cost around $12. Or do I just buy one and see for myself? I know it sounds simple, but I figure it's worth asking, just in case

I've also stretched a clean towel over a flat surface and wiped prints on that. With a little practice one can wipe the entire surface of the print with two swipes (or more swipes for really large prints). It seems to remove more water than a squeegee.

I used to use a windshield wiper blade, switched to a window cleaning squeegee, now have several heavy duty screen printing squeegees of varying lengths. Bottom line, they all work. Cheaping out is very okay for this. Just make sure the edge of the rubber is smooth.

Use a photo grade sponge instead. With a squeegee you run the risk of scratches which are visible when the light is right. However if you use something like Photo-Flo the water should easily run iff.

+ me too.

The print squeegees from Kodak and others have been a hard rubber with a sharp/square edge.

I use a two-roller print roller.
